Combined Experience: Visit to Eudald Massana Winery with Entry to the VINSEUM – Museum of Wine Cultures
In Subirats, in the heart of the Penedès region, enjoy a combined guided visit that immerses you in the history of our area.
Eudald Massana is a typical Catalan estate dating back to the 1600s, surrounded by vineyards and woodland with views of the Monastery of Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs. We will visit the winery’s vineyards, located around the Massana family’s ancestral home. You will learn about the history of the winery and the family, as well as the philosophy and fundamental principles behind vineyard care and the production of all their wines and cavas, following a biodynamic approach that respects nature and the surrounding ecosystem.
To finish, you will taste three wines and/or sparkling wines.
Afterwards, in Vilafranca del Penedès (15 minutes from the winery), you will visit VINSEUM, the Museum of Wine Cultures of Catalonia. This recently renovated museum is housed in a former manor house in Vilafranca del Penedès. The museum features an exhibition that tells the story of winemaking in our lands, from its arrival nearly 3,000 years ago to the present day.
The museum visit concludes in the tasting area with a glass of wine from one of the featured wineries, or grape must if you prefer.
